X- Men Apocalypse "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, and Dave Stewart

This song not only captures the true vibe of a character it also captures the character in of itself. This song not only matches the character of Quicksilver it also seems and feels like a song they he himself would be listening to or thinking of in his own head. The scene I'm referring to is when Quicksilver saves everyone at the school from an explosion in the basement. If you are unfamiliar Quicksilver is a mutant who has superhuman speed and in this scene he most certainly flexes his superpower by saving over 10 people and pets from the explosion in what seems like forever for Quicksilver but was only milliseconds in real time. Just the way this scene is shot and shown to the viewer is pure astonishment as well as how they blend the pulsing synth with the bee at the beginning of this scene into the song itself. Not only does this song go with the scene the character himself is wearing earphones and after getting to know the character Quicksilver a little bit better it really does seem like that he is listening to this song while he saves a whole school from complete obliteration. It's just the way that the song fits the character so well that is really attractive to the viewer. It is rare for a song to match a character in its own vibe and way they think. Yet this scene pulled it off and is now a certified classic because of it. Whenever good storytelling, amazing cinematography, and the perfect song come together it's truly a work of art.
