Stranger Things "Eulogy" by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein

Going back to Stranger Things since it has so many good songs in it's own soundtrack. We are taking a trip to season 2 episode 1 which is titled "MADMAX". The song "Eulogy" makes its debut at the 33:57 mark when the character Nancy is missing her friend Barb who has passed away in the previous season. Nancy is having an especially hard time since she knows that her friend Barb passed away even though Barb's parents do not know their own daughters fate which is in of itself a very hard situation to deal with. This song is almost exactly what anyone would think of when they think of an eulogy. The song is very heavy in the synthesizer and sounds exactly like it came out of an eighties commercial. While the song isn't exactly upbeat and happy go lucky, it does serve a purpose. In season two of stranger things there are a lot of deaths and it seems that our characters can never truly get away from it. Our characters are constantly finding themselves having to mourn for their peers and people they look up to. This song being played whenever one of our characters is mourning a loss is a very real look into how people deal with loss. This song signifies healing and overcoming of trials and tribulations especially since most of the time the hardest thing someone will have to do is to move on after losing a loved one. This song captures that feeling and mixes it with a organ synthesizer and portrays those types of emotions very well. This song is a very good listen whenever someone is looking for peace or a song to listen to alone.
