Switching shows for the first time to the hit show 13 Reasons Why. This song called "The Night We Met" is a slow song that is played during the winter formal in the show's 5th episode titled "Tape 3, Side A". The song makes its full appearance at the 32:00 mark however it is played earlier in the episode at about the 29:00 mark. This song fully captures the really sappy and deep love feel while the lyrics point to a deeper and lonelier vibe. The title speaks for itself where the lyrics say "... take me back to the night we met..." this is a true accent to what the main character (Clay) is going through at this time. He is missing his lover/friend Hannah Baker who committed suicide at the start of the show. He is now reminiscing of the times that he had with her and is wishing that he could go back to the night him and Hannah met. This song is played over the first time Clay and Hannah slow dance at the winter formal. This of course being a very vivid and clear memory for Clay since throughout this sequence we are being pulled back into reality over and over again. Thus illustrating that Clay thinks about this night a lot since we have to keep snapping out of it. The song's gentle guitar really pulls in the drama and angst of what Clay must be feeling which accents the overall feel of this show up to this point in time. This is especially true due to the fact in the show it is revealed that Hannah and Clay truly did have something special and the viewer really wants that relationship to work out yet it sadly does not.
